Motorcyclist Injured In Collision
Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision in Morecambe.
Lancashire Police said at around 4.40pm on Tuesday (10 September), a Honda SH 125cc was being ridden along Marine Road East when it hit a bollard in the centre of the road.
The rider, a 55-year-old man from Bolton-le-Sands, was treated by paramedics at the scene and was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
He is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
Sergeant Tracey Ward said: "If anybody witnessed the collision I would ask them to contact police. I am also keen to speak with anybody who may have seen the motorbike being ridden prior to the collision."
Anybody with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Car Window Shot Out In Birmingham
West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a parked car was shot at in Birmingham on Tuesday.
Police were called to Washwood Heath Road just before 10.30pm after a gunshot was heard.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the window of an empty BMW had been smashed after being shot it.
No one was injured in the incident.
The suspect was seen getting out of a black Astra estate car with the rear windows blacked out and was described as wearing a black and white Hallowe'en style mask.
Detectives have been carrying out local enquiries, looking through CCTV footage and are now appealing for anyone with information about what happened to contact them.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Wallis said: "Even though nobody was hurt we take any incident involving a gun being fired extremely seriously and have launched a investigation to find the person responsible.
"Although this happened after dark there may have been people in the area who heard the shot and saw something that could help our investigation."
Anyone with information should call detectives on 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
Woman Assaulted In Ripponden
A 45-year-old woman has been assaulted in Ripponden.
The woman, who was on her own, was walking with her dog along Hanging Stones Lane in the area on Saturday 31 August between 5.30pm and 6pm. She was grabbed on the arm by a man who pushed her and pulled her hair before he ran away.
The lane runs through a wooded area and is often used by dog walkers.
Officers now wish to speak to a man aged in his 40s with natural blonde hair and acne scarring on his face in connection with the incident. He was wearing black trousers and a blue and white thick striped t-shirt. He smelt of cigarette smoke.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact the Upper Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.
Man's Body Found In The Sea
Police in Scotland are trying to identify a man whose body was found in the sea near Kyleakin on Skye.
The discovery was made on Monday.
His death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage, and Police Scotland hope the public will be able to help reveal the man's identity.
The man in believed to be between 35 to 45 years old, about 5'10" in height, of medium build, with short dark hair. He has the letter "G" tattooed close to his wrist.
He was found wearing a blue Everlast hooded top, a blue body warmer, dark coloured jeans, a Levi leather belt, a chrome Sekonda watch and a Help for Heroes wrist band. He was wearing black Nike trainers and had a Reebok black and red backpack.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

A mother has successfully fought off a man and a woman who attempted to snatch her baby daughter from her pram in Leigh, Greater Manchester. Shortly after 8pm on Sunday 12 August 2007, the 30-year-old mother was pushing a pram with her four-month-old daughter along Wigan Road, close to the Hulme Road junction.

Man Arrested For 2002 Murder Of Becky Godden
Police investigating the disappearance of Becky Godden on December 2002, have arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of murder. Ms Godden was aged 20 when she disappeared in Swindon on 27 December. Her remains were found in 2011 on farmland in Gloucestershire.

Man Arrested Over Sexual Assault In Somerset
Police investigating a sexual assault in Somerset, during which a mother and child were tied up and held at knifepoint, have arrested a 59-year-old man. Police arrested the man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and sexual assault, in connection with the incident in Sydenham, Bridgewater on 21 January.
