Hunt Continues For Children Taken From Hotel

Police are continuing to hunt for two young children allegedly taken by their father from a hotel room in Stoke-on-Trent.

According to police two-year-old Nallah Khan and her ten-month-old brother, Sulaiman, were staying with family at the Quality Inn Hotel in Hanley when their father, Saleem Tahir, 40, forced his way into the room and past an elderly relative on Friday evening.

Police say they believe Saleem and the children are in the Birmingham area, having been last seen at around 20:00 on Friday on the Bristol Road in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Police are reviewing CCTV and speaking to witnesses as part of their investigation.

"We believe that Saleem, Denise and the children are still in Birmingham and would urge them to contact us immediately on 101 so we can talk to them to resolve this situation," police said.
