Wanted Man Arrested In Solihull

A man wanted by police for burglary and failing to appear at court for assault and harassment has been arrested.

John Buckley was arrested in the early hours of this morning (31 Oct) from an address in Solihull.

The 27-year-old from Circular Road had failed to turn up to a court hearing at Birmingham Magistrates court on 1 October in connection with the serious assault and harassment.

He was also wanted for a burglary which took place in the Hall Green area of Birmingham on 22 September.

Detective Sergeant John-Paul Jacob, from Stetchford CID, said: "Enquiries carried out by the investigation team led us to an address in Burford Close, Solihull this morning where Buckley was located and arrested."

Ten Arrested In Drug Raids
Nine men and one woman have been arrested in a series of police raids across Birmingham, Solihull and Smethwick. Police carried out the raids early on Thursday morning making ten arrests on suspicion of conspiring to supply dangerous class A drugs like heroin and crack cocaine.
