Female Cyclist Killed Following Collision With Lorry

A female cyclist has become the fourth person to die while riding a bike in the capitol in the last eight days.

According to reports the woman, understood to be aged in her mid-20s, collided with a lorry at around 08:45 at Bow Roundabout. The woman, has not be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is understood that London Cycling Campaign (LCC) are planning a protest at the roundabout later today.

To date, 12 cyclists have been killed in London this year.

Cyclist Killed In Central London
Police are investigating the circumstances of the death of cyclist in central London. It is understood the female cyclist died after her Barclays Cycle Hire bike collided with a tipper truck. The accident happened at about 08:00 on Victoria Street.

Five cyclists have been killed in London in just nine days. According to reports a male cyclist died in hospital in the early hours of the morning after he was hit by a double-decker bus in Whitechapel Road near Aldgate East station, in east London, late on Wednesday.

Police Find Woman And Children In Refrigerated Lorry
Police in Bristol have discovered a woman and two children in the back of a refrigerated lorry. Avon and Somerset Police said the driver of the lorry reported hearing voices from inside the lorry. Police believe the woman and children were in the back of the lorry for two days before being discovered.

Two Teens Arrested Following Attack In Islington
Two teenagers have been arrested after a 15-year-old cyclist was murdered in north London on Friday evening (27 February). Alan Cartwright was stabbed in the chest in the attack in Islington. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police released CCTV footage of the attack on Tuesday.
