Police Officers Suspended Over Alleged Assault

Three officers with Kent Police have been suspended over the alleged assault of a suspected shoplifter at a department store in Canterbury.

CCTV footage appears to show officers grabbing the suspect by the throat before repeatedly punching him.

The officers have been suspended as Kent Police investigate the incident, which happened on 11 July.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Police To Face Charges Over Detainees Death
Two Kent Police officers are to be charged after a man died while police were restraining him. Pc Maurice Leigh and Pc Neil Bowdery are to be prosecuted for misconduct in public office following the death of Colin Holt on 30 August.

Five police officers arrested in probe
Five police officers have been arrested as part of an investigation into alleged money laundering. The five officers all understood to be serving officers in the Metropolitan Police Force were arrested during raids this morning. Four other people believed to be members of the public have also been arrested.
