Female Police Officer Injured In Shooting
A female police officer has been injured in a shooting in Leeds.
At around 4am on Wednesday morning, West Yorkshire Police said two officers had been called to a disturbance in Cardigan Road, Hyde Park.
They were confronted by a man at a property and a gun was fired.
The female officer is being treated in hospital but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Her male colleague was not injured in the confrontation.
A 37-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Man killed and another injured in drive-by shooting
A man has been killed and another injured following a drive-by shooting outside a gym in Hertfordshire. The attack occurred at around 9.30am when the two men were fired upon from a passing Ford Transit van. Police Officer Injured In Ealing Attack
A police officer has been injured in an attack in Ealing on Wednesday. Police were called to Cotts Close to reports of an assault. Upon arrival, officers were confronted by a man in his 40s who was armed with a knife. The man attempted to attack the officers with the knife. One male officer received an injury to his leg.

Police Officer Seriously Injured In Car Crash
A police car has overturned on the A12 in Essex, seriously injuring the officer driving. Two officers where in the car at the time of the crash at around 07:30 on Thursday morning. One was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. Essex police have said that the Silver Hyundai i30 was the only vehicle involved in the incident.
