Police Officer Injured In Ealing Attack
A police officer has been injured in an attack in Ealing on Wednesday.
Police were called to Cotts Close to reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers were confronted by a man in his 40s who was armed with a knife.
The man attempted to attack the officers with the knife.
One male officer received an injury to his leg. He was been taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
No other officers were injured in the attack.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and has been taken to a West London Police Station.
Enquiries are continuing.

The man jailed for the murder of two police officers has been moved from Strangeways prison in Manchester to the maximum-security Ashworth Hospital. 30-year-old Dale Cregan was given a whole-life sentence for the murders of PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes as well as father and son David and Mark Short.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

'Rapist' Sought Over Young Mum Attack
Police in south London are seeking a man who allegedly raped a young mum in a flat while her three-year-old son was present. It is understood that the alleged attacker was known to the 23-year-old woman. It is believed that she had met the man, known as Derek, via the internet and that they had meet several times before the alleged attack.

Nine men have been arrested in connection with the death of a 21-year-old man in Luton at the weekend. The man, who has not been named, was attacked in Leagrave Road in the city around 9:10pm on Sunday night.
