Actor Peter O'Toole Dies Aged 81

Actor Peter O'Toole has died aged 81.

The Lawrence of Arabia star was receiving treatment at London's Wellington hospital after a long illness, his agent said.

O'Toole's agent said he was "one of a kind in the very best sense and a giant in his field".

BT Adult Filter 'Switched On'

BT have announced that its new internet filter, designed to protect children online, has been "switched on".

New BT customers will have the filters activated automatically, with customers having to choose to turn it off.

The filter is designed to block sites deemed unsuitable for children.

The move comes after the government called for internet service providers to filter legal pornography and other adult subjects "by default".

Mayor Dumps Rubbish In City Centre

A pile of rubbish has been dumped in the centre of Bristol, by the city's mayor.

George Ferguson has dumped the rubbish in an effort to highlight the annual £5 million clean-up costs, money that the mayor says could be better spent on more vital public services.

The rubbish dumped in the city centre was collected over one weekend and has been put on display in St Augustine's Parade.

Body Of Newborn Found At Rubbish Dump
West Yorkshire Police have reported that the body of a newborn baby has been found at a rubbish dump. Staff at the Valley Road waste site in Shipley found the body on Wednesday night. This is the second time a baby's body has been found at the site, following the discovery of a newborn girl in 2011.

Mother Jailed For Throwing Baby Down Rubbish Chute
A mother who threw her newborn baby 40ft down a rubbish chute has been jailed for two and a half years at Birmingham Crown Court. 25-year-old Jaymin Abdulrahman threw her six-day old daughter down the rubbish chute of a block of flats in Wolverhampton. She was found guilty of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Burnt Car Park Body Was A Woman Aged In Her 40s
The badly burnt body found beneath burning rubbish in a Sainsbury’s car park has been identified as a female. A police dog handler discovered the fire during his routine patrol around 3am on Tuesday morning. The body was discovered after the fire brigade had extinguished the blaze.

Gov Obesity Plan 'Patronising Rubbish' – Jamie Oliver
TV chef Jamie Oliver has called the Government's plan to reduce obesity crisis "worthless, regurgitated, patronising rubbish". On Thursday, the Government published plans to cut "five billion calories" from the daily diets in an attempt to tackle the UK's obesity rate, which is one of the highest in Europe.
