Rowan Atkinson Sketch Most Complained About TV Moment Of 2013

Television regulator Ofcom have revealed the most complained-about TV moment of 2013 was Rowan Atkinson's Comic Relief sketch of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Some 487 complaints were received from viewers saying that the monologue, in which Atkinson claims prayer "doesn't work", was offensive.

In July however, Ofcom ruled that the comedy sketch was not in breach of rules.

With 965 complaints, Big Brother was 2013's most complained-about TV show.

Sir David Attenborough Awarded Freedom Of Bristol

The freedom of Bristol city has been awarded to Sir David Attenborough, in a ceremony at Bristols City Hall in which his name was added to a roll of honorary freemen.

The award marks a close association between the naturalist and film-maker and the BBC's Natural History Unit based in Bristol.

Homes Evacuated In Gas Leak

Around 80 homes were evacuated after a gas leak in Llanelli.

Emergency services were called to the Llanerch area at 18:05 GMT on Monday after a strong smell of gas was reported.

Those affected, within 100 metres of the leak, were taken to Llanelli leisure centre but later returned to their homes. No-one was injured.

Dyfed-Powys Police said moving them was "absolutely necessary" to ensure safety.

Police Continue Search For Missing Bristol Teenager
Police have renewed their appeal for help in tracing missing Bristol teenager, Rebecca Watts. The 16-year-old has been missing since last Thursday, when she failed to return home. Police said that they are continuing to look for the teenager, with detailed searches having been carried out at a nature reserve near her home in St George.

Guesthouse Owners Lose Supreme Court Appeal
The owners of a guesthouse, ordered to pay almost £4,000 to a couple they refused to allow in their business because they are gay, have lost their Supreme Court appeal. In 2008 Steven Preddy and Martyn Hall were turned away from Hazelmary and Peter Bull's Cornwall guesthouse, Chymorvah House.

Volcano Ash Grounds Flights - Again
Once again, thousands of air passengers have been facing disruption to flights as ash cloud from the erupting volcano in Iceland caused more cancellations. Spain closed 19 of its airports on Saturday as the cloud of ash from the Icelandic volcano drifted south over western Europe.
