DLR Staff Vote For Industrial Strike Action

The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union has voted in favour of strike action in a pay dispute with London's Docklands Light Railway (DLR).

Staff at the DLR voted in favour of strike action by 9-1, with the dispute involving the current pay award, the use of agency staff and disciplinary procedures.

In a statement, RMT General Secretary Bob Crow said: "RMT will not tolerate the cavalier abuse of procedures, agreements and pay negotiations which has led to the complete breakdown of industrial relations on this vital section of the London transport operation."
