Woman Dies In Hairdresser Knife Attack

A 20-year-old woman has died following a knife attack at Gloucester hair salon.

Police responded to reports of a woman being attacked at Fringe Benefits on Southgate Street at around 18:00 on Tuesday evening.

The woman died a short time later at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

A 22-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning in connection with the death, police have reported.

Anyone who saw the attack or have any information have been asked to contact police.

Birmingham police are looking for three men after an elderly woman was hit with a hammer in an attempted robbery in her Sparkbrook home. The three men broke into a flat above a business premises on Ladypool Road at around 6.30pm on Friday 7 February, where the 66-year-old woman was attacked.

Woman Injured In Dog Attack
A woman, 22, has been seriously injured after being attcked by a dog in the outskirts of Lincoln on Sunday night. The attack happened near the city's Outer Circle Road at around 10.30pm. Armed officers, a helicopter and the police launched a warning to local people to stay away from the area.

Woman Dies After Dog Attack
A 27-year-old woman has died after being attacked by dogs. Emma Bennett died on Tuesday night after suffering from serious bite injuries in an incident at a house in Dawlish Avenue, Leeds. The attack, which happened on Monday afternoon (9 December), is reported to have occurred while the woman was suffering an epileptic seizure.

Prince Harry Completes Apache Training
His Royal Highness Prince Harry, or Captain Wales as he is known in the Army, has been named best co-pilot gunner in his Apache training course. Captain Wales and his fellow trainees have now completed the Conversion to Role (CTR) course which involves 18 months of rigorous training on the Apache attack helicopter.
