Essex County Council Questioned Over Swastikas
A Freedom of Information request has been made to Essex County Council over swastikas carved into Chelmsford's County Hall.
It is understood that a member of public has asked the council to explain the use of the symbol on the building, which was built between 1928 and 1939, shortly before World War Two.
According to the BBC, Essex Council has refused to comment on the symbols until they have responded to the request made by the member of the public.

A lady councillor who can no longer wear high heels after slipping in a pool of water at Stansted Airport has won the right to compensation. Tina Knight, 66, who sits on Uttlesford District Council in Saffron Waldon, Essex, sought damages from airport cleaners Rentokil after the fall in June 2005 left her unable to wear her high heels.

13-Year-Old Among Five Arrested Over Stabbing Death
A 13-year-old girl is among five people arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the stabbing of a 42-year-old man. The teenager is being held in connection with the death of Darren Kelly, of Basildon, Essex, alongside a 15-year-old girl, two boys aged 16 and 17 and a 20-year-old man.
