'Time And Support' Needed For Victims And Survivors

"Time and support" is to be given to victims and survivors of the troubles, according to a representative for Victims and Survivors NI.

At a Stormont meeting on Wednesday, representative Kathyrn Stone who was accompanied by John Beggs, said the Commission will help make "a very important difference" to victims lives and promised more support would be given to people who had been affected by the troubles.

A statement from the Commission for Victims and Survivors said: "What we are clear about is that we are committed to continue trying to make things better for victims and survivors.

"In the time we have been together we have encountered and dealt with many difficult issues. This has been one of the biggest and we still don't know what is ahead.

"We will continue to consider and discuss with clear and level heads as we look to give our advice to the Commissioner. We all agree that our common goal is to make things better for our children and our grand children."
