Max Clifford Found Guilty Of Indecent Assaults

Max Clifford has been found guilty of eight indecent assaults on women and girls as young as 15.

The publicist was found guilty by a jury at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.

He was however cleared on two charges of indecent assault, while the jury was unable to reach a verdict on another charge.

Clifford, 71, faced 11 charges in total.

He was released on bail until Friday when he will return to court for sentencing.

A retired Anglican priest has been found guilty of sexual abuse. Canon Gordon Rideout, who is 74, was found guilty at Lewes Crown Court of abusing children in the 1960s and 70s, the BBC has said. He has been convicted of 36 separate sex offences against 16 different children.

Clifford Jailed For Eight Years For Indecent Assaults
Publicist Max Clifford has been sentenced to eight years in prison for a string of indecent assaults. Judge Anthony Leonard said he must serve at least half of his sentence. Clifford, 71, was found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault against four women aged between 15 and 19.

Rolf Harris Guilty Of Indecent Assaults
Entertainer Rolf Harris has been found guilty of indecent assaults against underage girls. The jury at Southwark crown court convicted Harris of 12 counts of indecent assault on four victims between 1968 and 1986. The 84-year-old was accused of having a "Jekyll and Hyde" character, prosecutors claimed.
