Search For Three Men Over Gang Rape
Police are searching for three men after a 33-year old woman was raped and forced into a common close while she was walking in Toryglen, South Lanarkshire.
At Edinbeg Avenue a man got out of a car and forced her into the close helped by another two men who were in the vehicle.
They carried out a serious sexual assault at around 03.00 on Saturday.
The victim managed to make her way home and the police were not contacted until the next morning.
The three suspects are described as Asian and in their 20s.
Chief Inspector Sharon MacGregor said: "Three Asian men in a light coloured car, possibly white or silver and which may be a BMW or similar make in the area around Edinbeg Avenue."
Extensive inquiries are taking place and the police are carrying out door-to-door inquiries.

Detectives investigating the death of a man outside a police station in Greater Manchester have arrested three men. Kieran McGrath, 26, was shot outside the Sheldon Arms pub on 04 October last year. He then drove himself to Ashton-under-Lyne police station and collapsed outside its door. He died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Ferry Officer Cleared Of Yacht Deaths
A car ferry officer has been found not guilty of the manslaughter of three crewmen who died when their yacht sank in the English Channel. Michael Hubble, 62, was accused of failing to raise the alarm when the P&O car ferry Pride of Bilbao allegedly narrowly missed the yacht Ouzo off the Isle of Wight last year.

Three questioned over Walker murder
Police have arrested another man in connection with the murder of black teenager Anthony Walker. A 23-year-old man from Huyton was arrested on Thursday and is being questioned by police. Two men who were arrested at John Lennon Airport on Wednesday night are also still being questioned.

Birmingham police are looking for three men after an elderly woman was hit with a hammer in an attempted robbery in her Sparkbrook home. The three men broke into a flat above a business premises on Ladypool Road at around 6.30pm on Friday 7 February, where the 66-year-old woman was attacked.
