Plane Forced To Make Emergency Landing At Cork Airport

A plane, with 149 passengers on board, made an emergency landing at Cork Airport at 11.45pm on Tuesday night.

The Boeing 737-300 series flight was travelling from Belfast to Spain, however the pilot reported a suspected fuel leak and the flight was diverted to Cork.

The aircraft landed safely and none of the passengers or staff were injured.

Air Contractors Ltd said the plane is serviceable and is due to fly out at noon today (25 June).

Heathrow Closes Runway After A Plane Makes An Emergency Landing

Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Gatwick
A plane carrying 157 passengers was forced to make an emergency landing at Gatwick Airport after reporting that smoke was in the cockpit. The Easyjet Airbus A320 had left Liverpool at about 06:40 for Naples, touching down at London Gatwick at about 07:20.

Victims Of Cork Plane Crash Named
All those killed in yesterday's fatal plane crash in Cork have now been identified. A cousin of the President of the Irish Republic, Mary McAleese's husband was among the six people confirmed dead in Thursday's airplane crash in Cork.
