Public Fight Off Attacker In Attempted Rape

Greater Manchester Police are searching for a man in connection with an attempted rape in Clayton Vale nature reserve.

Police say that a 30-year-old woman was attacked while she was running at about 11:45 on Tuesday.

It is understood that the woman's screams were heard by another runner and a dog walker who came to her aid and fought off the attacker.

The attacker has been described as Asian, of slim build and average height. He is thought to be in his late 20s to early 30s, with short dark hair and scars on both cheeks. At the time of the attack he was wearing a dark tracksuit top and jogging bottoms with yellow or gold embroidery.
