Rolf Harris Seeks To Appeal Sentence
The Judicial Office has confirmed that it has received a request for permission from Rolf Harris to appeal his conviction.
84-year-old Harris was jailed for five years and nine months over 12 charges of indecent assault on four girls.
The appeal request was lodged with the Court of Appeal by lawyers representing Harris.
The appeal will now be considered by a judge, who will decide if it should proceed to a full hearing.

Rolf Harris will appear in Westminster Magistrates' Court on September 23 to face nine charges of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of children, police have announced. Six of the charges relate to the indecent assault of a fifteen-year-old girl in 1980 and three to a fourteen-year-old girl in 1986.
