Govt Renew Appeal To Russia Over MH17 Crash Site
The UK government has renewed its appeal to Russia to allow investigators access to Flight MH17 crash site in eastern Ukraine.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over Ukraine in July. All 298 people on board MH17 died.
Europe minister David Lidington has again urged Russia to use its influence over separatist fighters to allow experts on to the crash site.
His meeting with Russian ambassador in London Alexander Yakovenko came after a ceasefire was announced between Ukranian troops and pro-Russian rebels.
Musician Robert 'Throb' Young Dies
Founding member of Primal Scream, Robert "Throb" Young, has died.
News of the death has appeared online through Mr Young's wife, Imelda Mountfield and associates of the band.
Young formed the band with schoolfriend Bobby Gillespie in Glasgow in 1984.
He left the band in 2006 over what were described as "problems in his personal life".
Ferguson Shipbuilder Rehiring Redundant Staff
Staff made redundant in the closure of the Ferguson Shipbuilder in Port Glasgow have begun to be rehired by new owners, Clyde Blowers Capital.
It is understood that 30 of the 70 laid off, have been rehired already, with that figure expected to rise to 80 by November.

Funeral Held For Blackpool Victim Of MH17 Air Crash
The funeral has taken place of Glenn Thomas, who died in the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 air crash. Mr Thomas (49), from Blackpool, was one of 298 people who died in July when the flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was brought down over northern Ukraine. He was buried in a humanist service at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham.
