Funeral Held For Blackpool Victim Of MH17 Air Crash

The funeral has taken place of Glenn Thomas, who died in the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 air crash.

Mr Thomas (49), from Blackpool, was one of 298 people who died in July when the flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was brought down over northern Ukraine.

He was buried in a humanist service at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham. A one minute silence was held during the services for all the victims of the air crash.

Two Killed In Light Aircraft Crash
A pilot and a passenger have died in a light aircraft crash near Wymeswold in Leicester, police have confirmed. Police were called by the ambulance service at 7.55pm last night. Officers are working in conjunction with the Air Accident Investigations Branch (AAIB) to investigate the cause of the crash.
