Alice Gross Police Appeal For Missing 41-Year-Old Builder

Police investigating the disappearance of 14-year-old Alice Gross have issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of 41-year-old Arnis Zalkalns.

Police say that Mr Zalkalns, a builder from Ealing, west London, has not been seen since 03 September. They would like to speak to him as he is known to travel to work along the same route that Alice Gross used on the day she disappeared.

The teenager was last seen on 28 August by CCTV at Grand Union canal in west London.

Police have stressed that they just want to find Mr Zalkalns as he is also missing, saying that he may "have important information that can help our search for Alice.

"I would stress that based on what we know now there is no evidence to suggest that Arnis and Alice knew each other. This continues to be a fast-moving investigation, and this is one of a number of lines of inquiry that we are urgently looking into."
