Police Award Teenager For Bravery
Sixteen-year-old Kiya Ingham has been presented with an award for bravery in recognition of his efforts in tackling a man who had attacked two police officers.
The teenager from Sussex saw a man assault PCs Lynsey Burkinshaw and Johanna Clark in Brighton on 10 June. Kiya chased the man down and wrestled him to the ground, restraining him until the officers caught up.
He was presented with an award at a Sussex Police event and is understood to be interested in pursing a career with the police.
800 Phones 4U Workers Offered Jobs With Dixons Carphone
800 people who work in Phones 4U concessions are to be offered jobs at Currys and PC World stores.
The shops-within-a-shop had been established by Phones 4U at Currys and PC World stores prior to the announcement of a merger between Dixons, which owns the retail stores, and Carphone Warehouse.
They had been due to end next year as Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse were competitors.
However, Dixons Carphone, as the newly merged company is called, has said that it has secured and agreement to jobs to Phones 4U employees who work in concessions in its stores.
Three More Arrested In Laygreen Farm Murder Investigation
Police investigating the murder of Penelope Davis have arrested three more people as part of their investigation.
The body of Mrs Davis (47) was found in a field at Leygreen Farm, Beaulieu, on 2 September.
Justin Robertson, 36, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder.
Hampshire Constabulary said three people were being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They are a 28-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man and a 46-year-old man.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Man Arrested For 2002 Murder Of Becky Godden
Police investigating the disappearance of Becky Godden on December 2002, have arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of murder. Ms Godden was aged 20 when she disappeared in Swindon on 27 December. Her remains were found in 2011 on farmland in Gloucestershire.

Man Arrested Over Sexual Assault In Somerset
Police investigating a sexual assault in Somerset, during which a mother and child were tied up and held at knifepoint, have arrested a 59-year-old man. Police arrested the man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and sexual assault, in connection with the incident in Sydenham, Bridgewater on 21 January.

Investigation Launched Into Hotel Body Find
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in a Hull hotel room. Police said they were called to the Ibis hotel on Osborne Street at 13:00 on Sunday, where they discovered the body of a woman. She is yet t be identified.
