Bridge Work At 2004 Train Crash Site To Begin 'Very Shortly'
Network Rail has said that work is to begin "very shortly" on a bridge at the site of a 2004 train crash that killed seven people.
The crash at Ufton Nervet crossing in Berkshire left another 120 injured ten years ago, with four more people dying at the same crossing since 2004.
The rail company say that a number of safety measure have been implemented at the site but work on a proposed bridge at the rail crossing has not yet gotten underway.
The rail union, RMT, said that it was "impossible to believe" all safety changes had not already been made.
Police Hunt Masked Men After Halloween Prank Leaves Man With Burns
An investigation is underway after a man was left with burns on his scalp and hands when he was covered in quick-setting insulation foam.
It is understood that 21-year-old Michael Day was sprayed with the foam by a number of masked men on Halloween night, in what is thought to have been a prank.
According to reports the foam set "rock hard" within minutes and burnt the skin on his head and hands.
Tens Of Thousands Expected At East Sussex Bonfire Night Event
Some 30,000 people are expected to descend on the town of Lewes, in East Sussex, for what is said to be UK's largest bonfire night celebrations.
The local council has urged people to wear ear and eye protection if attending the events, while also encouraging people to consider attending events closer to their own homes.
Police have also warned that anyone caught "throwing fireworks" would be dealt with "robustly".

Legal Action Taken Over Cumbrian Rail Crash
It has been revealed that Network rail is to be prosecuted over the Cumbrian rail crash back in 2007, which claimed one life. The rail regulation body, The Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) has said that they have started legal proceedings against Network Rail for a breach of health and safety law.

A government committee has announced that a high-speed rail link between London and Birmingham has a "good case". The announcement comes after the Government carried out a public consultation on the proposal and the recommended route for an initial high-speed line from London to the West Midlands.

Firms accept liability for Potters Bar rail crash
In a joint statement made today Network Rail and Jarvis plc have formally accepted liability for the 2002 Potters Bar rail crash. Network Rail and Jarvis said they hoped that by "formalising the liability issue, those affected by the tragedy will gain some level of comfort and assistance".
