Former DJ Chris Denning Admits 38 Charges Of Indecent Assault

Chris Denning has admitted 38 charges of sexual assaults on boys over a period of 20 years.

The former BBC DJ had previously admitted 28 counts of indecent assault carried out during the 1970s and 1980s. He has now pleaded guilty to a further 10 counts of indecent assault. His victims were aged nine and 16.

He is to be sentenced on 09 December.

Met Officer Dismissed For Gross Misconduct

A Metropolitan Police officer investigated by Operation Elveden has been dismissed for gross misconduct, Scotland Yard has confirmed.

It is understood the officer was investigated following allegations of misconduct of honesty and integrity, orders and instructions, confidentiality and discreditable conduct, and relate to supplying a journalist with confidential information.

South West Wales Warned Of More Flooding

The Met Office has warned of flooding in south west Wales.

The forecaster has issued a yellow warning for Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, which have already been hit by floods twice this week.

The warning runs from 16:00 on Friday until 06:00 on Saturday.

Former DJ Ray Teret, a friend of Jimmy Savile, has been found guilty of raping and indecently assaulting young girls. Teret, from Altrincham, was convicted of seven counts of rape and 11 counts of indecent assault throughout the 1960s and 1970s.

Dave Lee Travis Cleared Of Indecent Assault
Dave Lee Travis has been cleared at his trial for indecent and sexual assault. Earlier on Thursday, the jury in the trial of the former BBC DJ had been instructed that a majority verdict would be accepted. This afternoon, the jury at Southwark Crown Court found the 68-year-old not guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.

William Roache In Court On Sexual Offence Charges
William Roache is in court accused of counts of historical sexual offences. The 81-year-old Coronation Street actor is standing trial on two counts of raping a 15-year-old girl in East Lancashire in 1967. He "strenuously" denies the charges.

Max Clifford Pleads Not Guilty To Charges
PR consultant Max Clifford has pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of indecent assault. The 70-year-old appeared at Southwark Crown Court this morning. He faces charges relating to seven alleged victims, between the ages of 14 and 19, between 1966 and 1985. Speaking outside the court, Clifford said he was "totally innocent" of the allegations.
