Dave Lee Travis Cleared Of Indecent Assault
Dave Lee Travis has been cleared at his trial for indecent and sexual assault.
Earlier on Thursday, the jury in the trial of the former BBC DJ had been instructed that a majority verdict would be accepted. This afternoon, the jury at Southwark Crown Court found the 68-year-old not guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.
They failed to reach a verdict on the charge of sexual assault.
According to a report by the BBC, Travis, of Mentmore, Buckinghamshire, was asked as he left court if he was delighted with the verdict, to which he replied: "No, I'm not delighted at all."
Travis, who was tried under his real name, David Patrick Griffin, was bailed to appear again on 24 February, when it will be decided if he should face a retrial on two outstanding charges.
