11-Year-Old Shot In The Head With Pellet Gun

An 11-year-old boy has been shot in the head during an under-12s football match in Chester-le-Street, Co Durham, on Saturday.

The boy, named as Connor Minto, was left with a pellet lodged above his left eye after he was shot with what police believe to have been an air rifle.

It is understood three fourteen-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the incident, which happened during a match between Chester-le-Street Town and Coxhoe taking place at Hermitage Academy.

The teenagers have since been released on bail.

Policewoman shot dead on daughter's birthday
The policewoman shot dead on Friday in Bradford was gunned down on her four-year-old daughter's birthday. Pc Sharon Beshenivsky, 38, was shot in the chest as she answered a call to a travel agents shop in Bradford. Her colleague PC Teresa Milburn, 37, was wounded in the shoulder.

Boy shot dead in south London 'bike chase'
A 16-year-old boy has been shot dead after he was apparently chased by a group of youths on bicycles in south London. Police were called to Cassell House in Stockwell just after midnight on Thursday following reports that shots had been fired. Officers found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
