Repairs On M2 Complete
Major repairs on the M2 between junctions 6 and 7 have been completed earlier than expected and the road has now fully reopened.
The repairs were required following a collision in which a car transporter crossed over from the London-bound, onto the coastbound carriageway, demolishing around 240 metres of the central reservation barrier.
Man Arrested Following Disturbance In Fishponds
Police are investigating a disturbance in the Hillfields area of Fishponds which happened in the early hours of Friday morning.
Officers were called to Marshfield Road at around 3.30am following reports of an incident involving several people.
A 36-year-old man suffered serious hand injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and is in custody for questioning.
LFC To Expand Main Stand At Anfield Stadium
Liverpool Football Club is to expand its Main Stand at Anfield Stadium.
Carillion is expected to start construction early next year and be it will be completed during the 2016-17 season. The expansion will take the Main Stand capacity to over 20,000 and overall Anfield capacity to around 54,000.
Football matches will continue to be played at Anfield during the construction works.
The expanded Main Stand, which will become one of the largest all-seater stands in Europe's top divisions, will comprise three tiers, with the existing lower tier re-profiled to accommodate a widened player tunnel, new team benches, media platform and wheelchair viewing positions.
The scheme will also include a two-storey podium which will become the new home for the Hillsborough Memorial, while the iconic Shankly Gates will also be repositioned as part of the new designs.

Trial date set for newspaper's royal editor
The royal editor for the 'News of the World' is to stand trial next July charged with hacking into mobile phones belonging to the Royal Family. Clive Goodman, 48, from Putney, south-west London, was arrested following claims from Clarence House that the security of its telephone network had been breached.

Oldham Athletic are expected to make an announcement on Thursday regarding the signing of convicted rapist Ched Evans. Oldham are believed to be signing the 26-year-old, despite a petition with more than 60,000 signatures against the decision. Labour TD Ed Miliband said: "He [Evans] hasn't shown remorse and I wouldn’t take him on.

Rangers Unveil Plans To Revamp Ibrox
Rangers FC have unveiled ambitious plans to revamp its Ibrox Stadium. The plans, one of three options currently being considered by the Glasgow club, would see the capacity of the ground rise to 70,000. This would make Ibrox the biggest sporting venue in Scotland, while work would also see the regeneration of the area surrounding the ground.
