Teens Arrested In Connection With Merseyside Assault

Two people have been arrested in connection with the assault of a 28-year-old man in Seaforth on Friday, 2nd January.

The men, aged 13 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The 28-year-old victim remains in hospital at this time in a stable condition.

The two teens are currently being held in police custody.

Investigation Launches After Thieves Break Into ATM Machine

Police have launched an investigation after thieves broke into a bank in Burnley.

Police were called at shortly before 4am on Sunday to reports of a loud bang at the Barclays Bank on Colne Road. Three men were seen to drive off from the scene in an estate car, possibly an Audi, towards Barnoldswick. Detectives believe that the raiders may have targeted the cash machine using an explosive gas.

The amount stolen has not been confirmed.

Woman Dies Following Crash In Manchester

A woman has died following a collision in Altrincham.

It happened at around 5.15pm when a 49-year-old woman was riding her pedal cycle along Moss Lane in an easterly direction when she collided with a pedestrian.

She died in hospital.

PC Neil Pennington from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Our thoughts and sympathies go out to this woman’s family who are being supported by specially trained officers at this tragic time.

"We have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision. If you were in the area on Friday evening and witnessed the incident, please get in touch as soon as possible."

Investigation Launched After Death Of Woman Following Bus Fall
A woman has died in hospital after falling on a route E3 bus on Chiswick High Road, just after 13:30 on Tuesday, 18 August. The 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 17:00.

Unlicensed Minicab Driver Jailed For Killing Passenger
An unlicensed minicab driver has been jailed for eight years for causing the death of a passenger. Matab Uddin, 59, of Blackshots Lane, Essex was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and fraud. The court heard how police were called on Sunday, 17 November 2013 at about 1:45am to reports of a man injured on Essex Road.

Driver Urged To Come Forward In Norwich Hit-And-Run Investigation
Police have appealed for the driver of a light-coloured Nissan thought to have been involved in a suspected hit-and-run in Oldbury last week. Police have issued the appeal following the death of Anthony Maskell (50).

Man Arrested After Two Children Killed In Collision
A man has been arrested in connection with the deaths of two children in a collision in Handsworth. Emergency services were called at midday on Sunday 21 June to reports that a car had collided with five pedestrians, including four children. All five where taken to hospital for emergency treatment.

Appeal For Witnesses Following Serious Road Accident In Dudley
Police in Dudley have appealed for witnesses to a serious road accident on Saturday. A man aged in his 40s is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a collision on Oakham Road at around 15:00.
