Aircraft Skids Off Runway At Airport

All crew and passengers onboard a passenger flight into Inverness Airport have escaped uninjured after the plane skidded of a runway as it was taxiing to its gate.

The Flybe Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft had just landed at the airport from Manchester and was travelling at low speed when it left the runway and came to a stop in an adjoining field.

Emergency services where dispatched to the scene but were not needed, the airport confirmed.

The cold weather is thought to have been the cause of the incident.
