Police Appeal For Man Wanted In Connection With Two Assaults

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information to locate a man wanted in connection with two assaults in Bletchley.

Ian Lee, aged 32, is wanted in connection with an assault on a man in his forties, and criminal damage that occurred in Bletchley on 24 January.

The victim sustained injuries including bruising and swelling to his head.

Lee is also wanted in connection with another assault in Bletchley which occurred on 18 December. This assault resulted in injury to the victim, a man in his thirties.

Ian Lee is white, medium build, around 6ft, with short cropped brown hair, short brown stubble and blue eyes.

He speaks with a local accent and has a distinctive tattoo of a swallow with the word 'MUM' on his left hand.

Motorcyclist Dies In Blackburn Road Crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a collision in Blackburn on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 4.40pm on Higher Ramsgreave Road.

The 46-year-old motorcyclist, Kevin Donaghue, from Clayton-le-Moors was travelling along the road when it is believed he lost control of the Kawasaki bike resulting in a collision with an oncoming Volkswagen Golf car.

The motorcyclist was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with multiple injuries but died a short time later.

The road was closed for four hours following the incident.

Anyone with information should contact Lancashire Police on 101.

Vinci To Manage Former Olympic Stadium

Vinci Stadium, a subsidiary of Vinci Concessions, has been selected to manage the former Olympic Stadium.

The stadium, at Queen Elizabeth Park, is currently being transformed into a multi-use stadium. It will host five matches of Rugby World Cup 2015 before fully re-opening in 2016 when it will become the home of West Ham United and the national competition venue for UK Athletics.

Vinci Stadium will be responsible for all aspects of running and managing the Stadium on a day to day basis as well as bringing in new events and activity.

West Ham United Vice-Chairman Karren Brady said: "Managing the basic day-to-day operations at a Premier League football stadium is a unique challenge, so we will be passing on our extensive experience and expertise to Vinci to ensure they provide the same high levels of service our supporters have become accustomed to at the Boleyn Ground.

"While Vinci will manage the functional aspects of the matchday operation, we will still be overseeing the overall supporter experience to make sure watching West Ham remains one of the very best days out in the Premier League."

Dan Brown, author of the best-selling novel 'The Da Vinci Code', has won his court case against two authors who accused him of infringing copyright of their book. Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh, authors of the 1982 book 'The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail', had accused Mr Brown of breach of copyright.
