Two Injured In Light Aircraft Crash

Two people have been injured in a light aircraft crash in Warwickshire.

It is understood the plane crashed at an airfield in Shotteswell with two people on board.

One of the men needed to be airlifted to hospital due to leg injuries, but neither man is believed to have been seriously injured.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch has been informed of the crash.

Police Investigate Allegedly Anti-Semitic West Ham Fans

Police are investigating allegations that West Ham football fans were captured on video using anti-Semitic abuse on a train in north London.

It is understood that anti-discrimination group, Kick It Out, reported the mobile phone footage to police after it appeared on social media on Sunday.

It allegedly shows a number of West Ham fans chanting anti-Semitic abuse to Spurs fans. Spurs has a long association with London's Jewish community.

Ofcom To Investigate C4 UKIP Docudrama

Ofcom is to investigate Channel 4 docudrama UKIP: The First 100 Days.

It is understood that more than 5,000 complaints were received about the programme, which imagined a future after Nigel Farage won an upcoming general election.

The regulator said it is investigating allegations of "offensive material, misleadingness and due impartiality", as well as "fairness and privacy complaints".

Police investigate suicide cause for rail crash
The high-speed train crash that killed seven and injured scores of passengers may have been as a result of the car driver’s attempt to commit suicide. All the carriages of the train which was carrying some 300 passengers were completely derailed when it hit a car at a level crossing near the village of Ufton Nervet in Berkshire on Saturday.

Eleven England fans deported following Monday riot
A Portuguese judge has sentenced a 46-year-old England football fan to two years in prison for his part in a riot in the Algarve. Gary Mann, from Faversham in Kent, will be deported to serve the custodial sentence in an English jail. Ten other English fans arrested will also face deportation. One further England supporter was found not guilty.

Essex Police Investigated After Prisoner's Fingers Severed
The Essex Police Force is being investigated after a prisoner had three of his fingers severed while in custody. The incident happened at Colchester Police Station on 1 May. Three fingers on the 33-year-old man's left hand were severed at the tip during a scuffle with officers at the station. The man was taken to hospital for his injuries.
