Two Charged Over Sexual Attack

Two men have been charged after a teenage girl was sexually attacked.

Hadish Tekle and Filmon Tesfaldet, from Queensway, Rochdale, have been charged with sexual assault and are due before Bury and Rochdale Magistrates' Court on today, Monday.

It follows an incident on Packer Street in Rochdale town centre that happened just after 4am on 1 March.

A 19-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by two men while waiting for her taxi.

Police are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to call on 101.

Rolf Harris To Face 13 Charges Over Child Sexual Abuse
Rolf Harris will appear in Westminster Magistrates' Court on September 23 to face nine charges of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of children, police have announced. Six of the charges relate to the indecent assault of a fifteen-year-old girl in 1980 and three to a fourteen-year-old girl in 1986.

21-Year-Old Charged With Grooming Offences
A 21-year-old man has been charged with grooming offences following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Sunrise Team in Rochdale. Ryan Howley, of Top O'The Close Road, Walsden, Todmorden, is charged with two counts of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming and one count of inciting a child to commit sexual activity.

Four Arrested In Rochdale Child Abuse Investigation
Four men have been arrested as part of an investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rochdale. The arrests were made by officers of Operation Doublet, led by Greater Manchester Police (GMP), and relate to alleged offences committed against one victim, who was under 16 at the time of the abuse.
