Police Appeal For Owner Of Classic American Car
Police in south London have made a final appeal to the owner of a classic car found abandoned on a roadside in Sutton, to come forward and claim the vehicle before it is scrapped.
The white 1969 Chevrolet Impala was found on the roadside on 17 February. It is believed the car was stolen by joyriders before being abandoned.
The car will be scrapped or sent to auction if not claimed by 20 March.
Work Begins On Skeleton Excavations
Archaeologists have begun to excavate some 3,000 400-year-old human skeletons found under Liverpool Street.
It is understood the site is called the 'Bedlam burial ground' and was used during a number of outbreaks of the plague and following the Great Fire of London.
The find has been described as "one of London's most significant archaeological finds".
A team of 60 archaeologists are expected to work for six days to remove the skeletons and record evidence.
