Former TV Weatherman Sentenced Over Indecent Assaults
Fred Talbot, the 65-year-old former TV weatherman, has been sentenced to five years for indecently assaulting two teenage boys in the mid 1970s.
The crimes date back to 1975 and 1976, when Talbot was a teacher at Altrincham Grammar School, Greater Manchester.
He was given two and half years per charge and must serve half of his sentence before being eligible for parole.
Talbot, best known as the weatherman on ITV's This Morning programme, was cleared of eight other indecent assault charges.

Max Clifford Found Guilty Of Indecent Assaults
Max Clifford has been found guilty of eight indecent assaults on women and girls as young as 15. The publicist was found guilty by a jury at Southwark Crown Court on Monday. He was however cleared on two charges of indecent assault, while the jury was unable to reach a verdict on another charge. Clifford, 71, faced 11 charges in total.

Ex-ITV presenter faces two indecent assault charges
The television presenter John Leslie has been charged today with two counts of indecent assault. Mr Leslie, 38, appeared at Forest Gate police station, in east London, where he was charged with two alleged assaults on the same woman in May 1997. He was bailed and will return for a hearing at Bow Street Magistrates Court on July 2.
