British 'Spy' Suspects Trial In Abu Dhabi Postponed
Three British men arrested in the United Arab Emirates on suspicion on spying have had their court appearance postponed until next week.
Conrad Clitheroe, Gary Cooper and expat, Neil Munro, have been held without charge since their arrest by an off-duty police officer in February.
It is understood that Mr Clitheroe (54) and Mr Cooper (45), both from Stockport, had travelled to visit their friend Neil Munro and to pursue their hobby of plan spotting.
According to reports the men had travelled 80 miles from Dubai to Fujairah Airport, where older and rarer aircrafts are understood to fly.
An off-duty police officer arrested the three men on suspicious behaviour, after he claimed they were seen driving slowly in a car and taking notes on planes.
The men have insisted that they knew that they were not allowed to take photographs and were using a telescope to "spot planes".
According to a report by the BBC, the men are expected to argue in court that their actions were misinterpreted and hope to be granted bail.
