Halfords Staff Caught Speeding In Customers Car

A Halfords Autocentre employee has been captured speeding in a customers car, after it was left it for a service.

It is understood that the customer had a dashboard camera installed in his Ford Focus ST, which captured the employee travelling at 57mph in a 30mph zone.

The customer, named in reports as Shaun Ingram from Saltash, said that the camera had not been left on "to catch anybody out", but recorded some seven hours of footage.

Halfords has issued an apology to the customer, offered to refund the £255 MOT fee and will investigate the employee, who they had had been temporary and has since left the company.

Police Appeal For Help For Missing Student

Police Scotland have issued an appeal for help in tracing 24-year-old Karen Buckley, who has been missing since Saturday night.

It is understood that Ms Buckley was at Sanctuary nightclub on Dumbarton Road, Glasgow, from about 23:45 on Saturday.

At about 1am the student told her friends she was going to toilet, leaving her coat behind, and never returned.

Police said that CCTV footage, shows Ms Buckley speaking to man outside the club, before leaving an walking towards Church Street.

Police have appealed to the man that was seen talking to Ms Buckley to contact them.

Body Recovered In Laos During Search For Missing Welsh Woman

A body has been recovered in the search for a BBC Wales picture editor missing in Laos, south-east Asia.

Johanna Powell (37), was reported missing on Saturday. It is understood that Ms Powell had been asleep on a boat that hit rocks and capsized in rapids.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has confirmed a body has been found but not yet identified.

Search Continues For Missing Student
Police searching for a student who went missing from a Glasgow nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning, have reportedly found her handbag in a park. Searches are continuing for 24-year-old Karen Buckley, who went missing after telling friends she was going to the bathroom while at Sanctuary nightclub in the city.

Body Found In Search For Missing Woman
A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Body Found On Glasgow Farm Confirmed As Missing Student
Police in Scotland have confirmed that a body discovered on a farm north of Glasgow was that is missing Irish student Karen Buckley. Human remains were found at the isolated farm on Wednesday by officers searching for the 24-year-old, who had gone missing in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Allotment Body Confirmed As Missing Coventry Woman
Police have confirmed that a body recovered from an allotment site in Leicester is that of Sameena Imam. Ms Imam (34) had been missing since Christmas Eve, when she was last seen outside Costco in Coventry.

Police Searching For Missing Teenager Recover Body
Police searching for a missing teenager have recovered a body from the River Clyde. Police Scotland said that divers recovered a body from the river at Greenock and they believe it is missing 19-year-old Sarah Smith. Ms Smith, from Port Glasgow, was reported missing on Sunday night.
