Man Wanted In Connection With Serious Sexual Assault
West Midlands Police are appealing for help in tracing a suspect wanted in connection with a serious sexual assault in Wednesbury in March.
A 26-year-old woman was attacked by a man in an alleyway linking Redhouse Avenue and Pound Road at about 21:00 on Monday 09 March.
Police have produced an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the assault.
The suspect is believed to be an Eastern European white man − possibly Polish − in his late 30s or early 40s, around 6ft tall and of slim build.
It is understood that he smelled of alcohol and cigarettes and was wearing a brown leather jacket with a pale stripe, black shoes and dark coloured jeans.
Detective Constable Raj Dulay, from the Public Protection Unit, said: "Crimes like this are very rare and we hope that this e-fit image might jog someone's memory and help us identify the suspect.
"Our investigation has been following several lines of enquiry and now we need members of the public to come forward and assist us.
"If you recognise the man pictured or have any information about him, please contact us as soon as you can. We also want to hear from anyone who was in the area that night and saw anything unusual, no matter how insignificant it may seem."
Anyone with information which may help DC Raj Dulay should call 101 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police Appeal For Help Tracing Man Wanted In Connection With Assault
Merseyside Police have appealed for help in tracing 21-year-old, Perry Thomas Culshaw, who is wanted in connection with an assault on Wednesday 22 April. Police wanted to speak to him in relation to an assault on Moss Lane/ Anderson Road, when a man was assaulted as he sat in the back of a car.

Police in Westminster have issued an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to after a woman was seriously assaulted in Penfold Street, NW8 on Friday 18 September. At 2.30pm a woman in her 40s was seriously assaulted and robbed in her home, by a man who talked his way into the house.
