8-Year-Old Boy Dies Following Accident In Glasgow Cemetery

An 8-year-old boy has died following an accident at a cemetery in Glasgow.

Ciaran James Williamson died after the incident in the Craigton Cemetery, Cardonald at approximately 7.25pm on 26 May.

He was pronounced dead at Yorkhill Hospital.

Two 10-year-old boys were also taken to hospital

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Detective Inspector Tom McKen said: "This is such a tragic set of circumstances and our thoughts are with Ciaran’s family.

"Enquiries are ongoing however the incident is not being treated as suspicious and a full report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

Baby Dies After Being Bitten By Family Pet
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby bitten by dog in Sunderland. The three-week-old baby boy died in hospital following an incident at his home in Falkland Road. Police were called to the address at 04:15 on Saturday, 20 June. It is understood that the baby had been bitten by the families pet dog.

Boy Dies After Falling Into River In Argyll
A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a river in Argyll while on holiday with his family. Emergency services were called to the incident at 13:45 on Tuesday. The boy was rescued by a passer-by after getting into difficulties. He was airlifted to Glasgow for treatment, however he later died at Yorkhill Hospital.

Toddler In Pond Tragedy
An investigation has been launched after a three-year-old boy died when he fell into a garden pond. Ethan Read, from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, died in spite of his mother's attempts to revive him before the ambulance arrived. The incident happened at an address in Coney Weston. The death is being treated as unexplained.

Teenager rescued from sea dies
A 15-year-old boy rescued from the sea off Norfolk has died. A lifeboat crew rescued the boy who had got into difficulties while swimming with another boy off Wells-Next-the-Sea, Norfolk. He was located by the lifeboat and was airlifted to hospital. But he later died shortly after being admitted to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Boy dies following air rifle shooting
A 12-year-old boy has died after being shot in the eye with an air rifle. Mitchel Picken, from Baddeley Green, Stoke-on-Trent, died from head injuries on Saturday, two days after he was shot.
