Teenager rescued from sea dies

A 15-year-old boy rescued from the sea off Norfolk has died.

A lifeboat crew rescued the boy who had got into difficulties while swimming with another boy off Wells-Next-the-Sea, Norfolk.

He was located by the lifeboat and was airlifted to hospital. But he later died shortly after being admitted to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

A member of the public rescued the second boy, who is understood to be 11 years old.

Boy rescued from sea dies
The seven-year-old boy rescued after being swept away by rough seas while playing on a Dorset beach last week has died in his mother’s arms. Jack Shelton from Briscombe near Stroud in Gloucestershire had been paddling at the water's edge with his 11-year-old-sister when he got into trouble at around 11am last Thursday.

Children Treated In Hospital Following Boating Accident
Two children are continuing to receive hospital treatment after being rescued from the River Avon following a boating accident in which their father and brother died. The family's rowing boat capsized in strong waters at a weir in Barford on Saturday afternoon. A local resident was able to pull the boy and girl from the water.

Baby Dies After Being Bitten By Family Pet
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby bitten by dog in Sunderland. The three-week-old baby boy died in hospital following an incident at his home in Falkland Road. Police were called to the address at 04:15 on Saturday, 20 June. It is understood that the baby had been bitten by the families pet dog.

Boy Dies After Falling Into River In Argyll
A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a river in Argyll while on holiday with his family. Emergency services were called to the incident at 13:45 on Tuesday. The boy was rescued by a passer-by after getting into difficulties. He was airlifted to Glasgow for treatment, however he later died at Yorkhill Hospital.

Search continues for missing boy
A major search was continuing on Friday for a missing 14-year-old boy who was swept out to sea off the north coast of Wales on Thursday. An RAF helicopter joined police divers and coastguards in a hunt for the boy who was struggling to swim to shore at Llandanwg beach, Harlech.
