Man Arrested Over Wavertree Shooting
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Wavertree, south Liverpool.
A 29-year-old man remains in a serious condition in hospital following an incident in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victim suffered a gunshot would to the chest.
Detectives from the force's Matrix Serious Organised Crime unit are leading the investigation into the shooting, and are said to be keeping an "open mind" as to the motive behind the shooting.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a five-year-old boy. The child was shot and seriously injured at his home in Essex. The boy has been taken to the Royal London Hospital at around 13.20 on Sunday. His injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.

The man, said to be in his 60s, and a 59-year-old woman, were shot while trying to evict a tenant from a property in Brixton on Wednesday morning. It has been reported that police were called to Strathleven Road at around 09:50 on Wednesday.
