Ladbrokes Unveils Plans To Merge With Coral
Ladbrokes has revealed plans to merge with its rival Gala Coral.
It is thought the deal will value the business at £2.3bn.
The deal will create the largest bookmakers' chain on the UK's high street, with almost 4,000 shops.
According to reports, Jim Mullen, current Chief Executive of Ladbrokes, will be in charge of the merged company – Ladbrokes Coral.

UK's best-known coral reef receives emergency protection
The UK's best-known cold-water coral reef is to receive emergency protection, Fisheries Minister Ben Bradshaw has announced. A new European Commission regulation will now ban damaging fishing activity within the Darwin Mounds off the north coast of Scotland. The site is around 180km off the mainland and was discovered in 1988.

British Divers Missing In Indonesia
Three British people have been reported missing in Indonesia. The man and two women were among a group that hasn't returned from a diving trip off Bali on Thursday. A further two holidaymakers, reported to be a woman from Sweden and a French man are also missing after the incident.

Murder Inquiry Launched Into Bookies Death
Police in Barking have launched a murder inquiry into the death of a 60-year-old man. Leslie Bones of Merton Road collapsed on Saturday, 19 April inside Coral bookmakers, Station Parade. Mr Bones died in the early hours of Sunday morning in hospital after being attended to by emergency services at the scene.
