Police Want To Identify Woman After Knife Find In Westminster
Police have issued an appeal for help in identifying a woman they want to speak to in connection with an incident in Westminster on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said that at about 15:30 yesterday a woman approached an officer and asked for access to a "highly restricted area".
She was refused entry and left the areas. However, ten minutes the woman returned and asked again for access. She was again refused.
A short time later police found a scarf on a nearby wall, wrapped around two large knives. Police believe that the woman who asked for access to the restricted areas had been carrying the scarf.

'Kissing' Thief Robs Elderly Woman
A 97-year-old woman has been robbed by a man who tricked his way into her home. Greater Manchester Police say the incident happened at 7.15 on August 7. Police say the man knocked on the elderly woman's door on Greenmount Drive in Little Hulton and when she answered, he kissed her on the cheek and walked straight through the door.

Body Found In Search For Missing Woman
A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Seven Injured In Police Van Collision
A police van transporting a suspect has collided with a car in Sheffield, injuring seven people. South Yorkshire Police say the incident, which happened on Abbeydale Road at about 23:30 on Sunday, involved a police van and a red Peugeot 207.

Human Remains Found During Search For Missing Woman
Police Scotland have confirmed that human remains have been found during the search for missing 19-year-old Hazel North. A search had been ongoing for Ms North, who was from Dunfermline and has been missing since 04 March. Police have not yet been confirmed if the remains found in Dean Park are those of Ms North.

Major Fire At Birmingham Industrial Estate
Firefighters have been tackling a large blaze at an industrial estate in Birmingham. It is the third such incident at the site in a week. In a statement, West Midlands Fire Service said it was treating the fire as "suspicious".
