Police Search For Man Wanted On Recall To Prison

York Police are continuing to search for 39-year-old Matthew Brereton, who is wanted on recall to prison.

Brereton is wanted for breaching the terms of his prison release licence after serving four years of a nine-year sentence for robbery.

Officers have been making enquiries throughout York in an effort to trace Brereton and are urging anyone who knows where he is to get in touch.

He is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall with a medium build, dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who can help to trace Brereton is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 - select option 1 - and pass information to the Force Control Room.

Search For 18-Year-Old In Drug Supply Investigation

Merseyside Police have renewed its appeal for help tracing 18-year-old Niall Barry in connection with an on-going investigation into drugs supply.

Detectives want to speak to Mr Barry as they believe he may be able to help them with their investigation into the supply of Class A drugs.

Barry is described as being 6ft tall of a medium build with fair hair and blue eyes.

He is known to frequent the Liverpool and Lancashire areas.

Officers would urge Barry or anyone who knows of his whereabouts contact Merseyside Police on 0800 230 0600, 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Investigation Launched Into Neasden Grass Fire

An investigation has been launched into a grass fire in Neasden, Brent, London.

Twenty five firefighter tackled the blaze, which affected around two hectares of grass – the size of around two football pitches.

Station Manager Jerome Kumedzina who is at the scene said: "There was quite a large area alight but crews worked hard to stop the fire from spreading further and used water backpacks and beaters to put out the fire."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Investigation Launched After Death Of Woman Following Bus Fall
A woman has died in hospital after falling on a route E3 bus on Chiswick High Road, just after 13:30 on Tuesday, 18 August. The 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 17:00.

Appeal For Information After Body Found In Fife
Police in Fife have appealed for information into an ongoing investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Glenrothes. Police discovered the body of Aleksandrs Sokolovs (29) inside a property on Tummel Road on Monday. The death of the Latvian-national is being treated as suspicious.

Royal Military Police chief found dead in Iraq
The senior British military police investigator has been found dead in his quarters at the British Base in Basra in Southern Iraq. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) confirmed that the body of Captain Ken Masters, 40, was discovered in his accommodation in Waterloo Lines, Basra, Iraq on Saturday 15 October 2005.

Probe Follows Suspicious Death Of Girl, 3
Police have launched a murder inquiry after a three-year-old girl was found dead at a house in Birmingham. A women in her 20s is being held by detectives investigating the death. She is still being questioned. The child's remains were discovered by officers on Saturday evening at an address on Milverton Road, Erdington.
