23-Year-Old Arrested Over Two Shootings In South Manchester
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two shootings in Wythenshawe, south Manchester.
A 29-year-old man was shot in the leg in a pub on Woodhouse Park shortly before 21:30 on Thursday, 23 July.
In a similar incident, police found an 18-year-old man suffering gunshot wounds to his legs at a house on Faxlair Road on Saturday, 01 August.
Police have subsequently arrested a 23-year-old make on suspicion of section 18 wounding and attempted murder respectively and remains in custody for police questioning.
Anyone with information should phone police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.
