Man Sentenced Following Child Sexual Exploitation Investigation
A 21-year-old man has been sentenced following a child sexual exploitation investigation in Brighton.
Kasey Knowles, of no fixed address, was charged with six counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15. All the charges relate to one girl.
At Hove Crown Court on Friday, August 7, Knowles, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced to a 10 month suspended sentence suspended for two years, a two year supervision order, 240 hours unpaid work, 10 years on the Sex Offenders Register and 10 year SHPO.
Detective constable Dawn Robertson said: "Knowles is a manipulative man who a groomed girl he met online and then met in the city. His behaviour is intolerable and we are working to offer the girl involved with the best support.
"If you are concerned about this type of offence, please contact us. You will be supported and believed. Contact us either on 101, email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or come into a police station."

Baby Girl Dies In Dog Attack
An 11-month-old baby has died after being mauled by a pet dog, police in Lancashire have said. The baby girl, from Emily Street in Blackburn, died in hospital at about 23:00 on Monday. Police have arrested a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of child neglect in connection with the incident.

A man convicted of a number of 'historic' sex offences against a young girl was today jailed for six years. Paul William Murphy, 48, from Moss Side, was found guilty of rape and sexual assault at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square. He has been sentenced to serve six years for rape and four years for sexual assault to run concurrently.
