Body Recovered In Search For Missing Walsall Woman
Police searching for a missing Walsall woman have recovered a body.
The body was found at a house in Heather Close, Bloxwich, on Tuesday, by police as they carried out a search for Susan Whiting.
The body is yet to be formally identified and a post mortem will take place in due course to establish the cause of death, which at present is being treated as suspicious.
The house in Heather Close remains cordoned off while forensic experts examine the property and officers are conducting house to house enquiries.
A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The 34-year-old man and 35-year-old woman, both local to the area, are in custody and being questioned by detectives.
Meanwhile the death has been referred to the IPCC as is a matter of course when a missing person is found deceased.
Anyone with information which they think may assist the investigation is asked to call Force CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Police investigating the disappearance of a woman in Kent have discovered a body. Officers have been searching for Mariola Cudworth (36), who has been missing since 28 April. It is understood that a body was uncovered on Monday at Dover Road in Eastry. The scene remains sealed off.

Police in Manchester are searching a 15-mile stretch of the A19 for the body of Rania Alayed, who has been missing since early June. The 25-year-old mother-of-three was reported missing from her Cheetham Hill home on 2 July. However, police believe that she was last seen on 7 June, at around 7.
