Body found in search for missing woman
Police searching for missing Surrey woman Kate Beagley have confirmed that a body has been found in woods near Watford in Hertfordshire.
Ms Beagley, 32, from Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, disappeared after going out on a date on May 30.
She was reported missing on Thursday by her father after she failed to turn up for her job with British Gas and missed various appointments.
It is understood that Ms Beagley met a man in the CC Club in the Trocadero in Piccadilly the previous week and had been due to go on a date with him on May 30.
A woman's body was found around 3am on Monday morning in Oxhey Woods in Oxhey in Hertfordshire.
A 27-year-old man was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of kidnap, but was re-arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder.
Two cars, which were being sought by police in connection with Miss Beagley’s disappearance, have also been found in Harlesden in northwest London.
One of the cars is Miss Beagley's - a silver/grey VW Golf and black BMW car which is believed to be connected to the investigation.
Both cars have been removed for forensic examination.
Formal identification is still to be carried out on the body.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have spotted Kate, described as white, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins, of medium build with straight brown collar length hair, with a black man, around 6ft 3ins tall on in the Richmond Hill area or in and around Oxhey Woods on May 30, to contact them.

A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

The body of a man who went missing during a night out earlier this month has been recovered from a canal, it has been reported. Wayne Davies, 22, a tourist, disappeared after leaving the Hifi nightclub in the Dutch city of Leiden in the early hours of 19 April.
