Talks Fail To Stop FGW Strike Action

The latest round of talks hoping to avoid strike action at First Great Western has reportedly failed.

Three days of industrial action are due to begin on Saturday by members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union, in a dispute over the introduction of new high-speed trains.

The union claims that the move will hit jobs and on-board catering.

Further talks are to be held for later this week.

Welsh Beach Dinosaur's Missing Foot Found

The missing foot of a dinosaur fossil found on a Welsh beach last year has been uncovered by a palaeontology student, the National Museum Wales has announced.

The skeleton of a Jurassic dinosaur's was found at Lavernock beach in the Vale of Glamorgan, it was largely intact but missing a foot.

The missing foot was found on the same beach earlier this month, the museum has reported.

The skeleton was currently on display at National Museum Cardiff's main hall.

Man Hands Himself Into Police After Cyclist Pushed Into Traffic

A man has attended Bethnal Green police station claiming he was responsible for an attack on a female cyclist.

Police had issued a picture of a man they wanted to speak after a woman was pushed into traffic in Whitechapel.

The 33-year-old man was not arrested and will be interviewed by officers from Tower Hamlets in due course.

Body Washes Up On Suffolk Beach
A body found on a Suffolk beach might that be that of an Albanian man who jumped from a ferry while being deported. According to a report by the BBC, the body had been in the water "for some time" before it washed ashore between a leisure centre and Manning's Amuseuments at Felixstowe.

Mystery deepens over ‘Piano Man’
The investigation into the identity of the ‘Piano Man’ is continuing today. The National Missing Persons Helpline confirmed that they have received hundreds of calls and e-mails offering suggestions of who the mysterious man might be, but the identity of the man remains unknown.
