Man Due In Court Over Wolverhampton Body Find

A 25-year-old man is due to appear in court charged in connection with the discovery of a body in Wolverhampton.

Patrick Ryan was arrested at his home on Blackwood Avenue, Wednesfield on Sunday 11 October, in connection with the discovery of the body of a 42-year-old man on the same street earlier that day.

A post mortem revealed the cause of death was head injuries.

Detective Inspector Martin Slevin, from Force CID, who is leading the investigation, said: "We continue to appeal for anyone who saw anything suspicious in Blackwood Avenue between midnight and 6am and has not yet come forward to contact me or one of the team."

Anyone with information is urged to call detectives at West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers the independent charity on 0800 555 111.

Man Held After Discovery Of 80-Year-Old Woman's Body
A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of an 80-year-old woman in Southhampton. The woman’s body was discovered at her home in Ocean Village by family members on Saturday night. A wide area around her home has been cordoned off with some 60 detectives involved in the investigation.

Arrest Made After Discovery Of Decomposed Body In Merseyside
Three people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a partially decomposed body in Merseyside. It is understood that emergency service were called to a house in Reeds Road, Huyton just before 18:00 on Friday. Upon arrival they found the remains of a man, believed to be in his 20s.

Arrests Follow Headless Body Discovery
Police investigating the discovery of the headless body of a man in north-west London have arrested a man on suspicion of murder. It is understood that the man, believed to be in his 40s, was arrested in Alvaston in Derby on Thursday night. Another man and a woman were arrested at the same address on suspicion of assisting an offender.
