Dead Whale Washes Up On Kent Beach
The body of an adult minke whale has washed up on a beach in Kent.
The 36ft-long adult whale was discovered at Foreness Point near Cliftonville.
It is believed that the whale may have been hit by a ship.
Marine life experts are at the scene.
Police Appeal For Missing 85-Year-Old Man
Police have appealed for help in tracing missing 85-year-old Brian Smart, who has been missing since 22 September.
Mr Smart was last seen on Tuesday, 22 September, at his home address in Abbey Wood at approximately 19:30hrs. He has not been seen since.
Mr Smart is white, 5ft 7ins and of medium build. He usually wears a dark waist length jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call Police in Greenwich on 07770 825571, or the police non-emergency line on 101.
Appeal Issued After Attack On Hotel
Northumbria Police have appealed for information after a number of windows were smashed at a Ryton hotel.
Police said that between 11.30pm on Sunday, October 11, and 6.30am on Monday, October 12, vandals smashed five windows at the Ryton Hotel in Lane Head.
Investigating Officer PC 473, Andrew Hyde, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who saw a suspicious vehicle and people around this location at around 3.45am on Monday morning.
"We have already heard from a number of people in the area who have passed on vital information and would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may be able to help."

Simran was last seen at about 20:40 on Thursday night on Birch Avenue, West Bowling. Newcastle Police Appeal For Help Tracing Two Missing People
Police in Newcastle have appealed for the public's help in tracing two missing people. 63-year-old MaryAnn Cook has been missing since Tuesday 09 June, when she was last seen leaving her home in Oakfield Gardens. It is known that Ms Cook travelled by taxi to Central Station, but she failed to return home and has not been seen since.

Detectives in Glasgow are continuing enquiries after a woman was indecently assaulted on Saturday in the Govan area. The 37-year-old woman was in a car park at Water Row, just off Govan Road, at around 8.30pm when she noticed a man lying on the ground.

East London Murder Appeal
Detectives have appealed for information about the murder of a woman in Manor Park. Aliza Ahmed Mirza, 18, a student from Ilford, died on Saturday 3 April. Police had been called to reports of a collapsed female. It is believed she was stabbed while in the Forest View Road area. Miss Mirza was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead.
